Little Sprouts is where the youngest (ages 0 to 4 years) come to learn how to “Bee Like Jesus.” The first 15 minutes of the program is designed to let the children come play and explore their surroundings before sitting down for a program. They can get their wiggles out as well as satisfy their curiosities by playing with things that coordinate with the lesson such as building walls with big blocks when we are studying the story of Joshua and the Walls of Jericho or practicing throwing skills with bean bags and balls just like David had to do with his sling when we study the story of David and Goliath.

After playtime, the Little Sprouts are invited to come take a seat on our very fun Bee bean bags where they can participate in some lively hand-picked songs that go with our theme along with props and hand motions to make them extra enjoyable. The lesson is woven throughout the songs and then again in the puppet show. The Little Sprouts are always excited to see which puppet is going to come visit for a story. Sometime it is Busy Bee, Funny Cow, or Little Panda. You never know what fun character is going to show up to help us tell our Bible story and teach our lesson.

After the puppet show and prayer time, the Little Sprouts come to the craft table for a special activity that relates to the topic and involves skills such as coloring, gluing, and sticking on stickers. When they are done with their projects, the Little Sprouts always look forward to the snack of the day which is usually some goldfish crackers, fruit snacks, or graham crackers. When it is time to go to church, the Little Sprouts check the beehive mailbox to get their weekly “Little Friend” which is a special magazine filled with great stories on just their level. Please come and join us in the Little Sprouts class every Saturday morning from 10:00-11:00 am.
