Child Care Aware® of Southern Missouri is an operating agency of the Council of Churches of the Ozarks and a member of Child Care Aware® of Missouri & Child Care Aware® of America and has been in operation since 1992. Services provided include:
- Offering a clearinghouse of information by providing information and education which reinforces the importance of quality care, providing child care data and statistics, and assisting employers and community organizations/agencies
- Assisting child care providers through lending library, training opportunities and on-site technical assistance
- Offering enhanced referrals for military families
- Facilitating community partnerships by attending community meetings and events and co-hosting events such as provider appreciation banquets and the SW MO Child Care Provider Health Conference
