SPIRIT LIFE'S TOP TEN GUEST'S QUESTIONS

#10. What is your Sunday service really like?

The service is scheduled to run for an hour and thirty minutes. This may vary depending on how people's lives are being touched and the activities planned that service. Visitors are invited to a refreshment reception with the pastors immediately following. You are also welcome to visit our coffee shop called, “Holy Grounds” in the fellowship hall.

A lively and contemporary praise and worship segment starts our service and usually takes from 25 to 30 minutes. Children (ages 5-11) are dismissed for K.I.D.S. Church immediately after. Teens and Young Adults stay and are often involved in the service. Prayer ministry from our pastors, drama and multimedia presentations are often incorporated into the services.

An encouraging, practical message completes the service. Since most people learn by seeing, we use illustrations, drama, testimony or multimedia in many teachings.

The Children's Ministries age 11 and under have their own programs located in the Student Center upstairs. Jr High have a teaching time after adult praise and worship. (You will notice some children stay in service. Your children are welcome to stay with you if you like.)

#9. How should we dress for service?

Comfortably. Really. The pastor who speaks on Sunday may wear a coat and tie, but not always.

There is no "dress code" at Spirit Life and jeans are very common. In the summer, many people wear shorts. If we thought God was primarily interested in clothes we would have opened a dress shop! We (and God) will be very happy to see you in church - however you are dressed!

#8. Are people who are searching (seekers or agnostics) welcome at Spirit Life?

YES! If you are trying to figure this "God thing" out, you are welcome to join us at Spirit Life. While the pastors firmly believe in Jesus and what He taught, they certainly weren't born that way! They started as seekers and learned about God’s love and forgiveness too.

We realize that getting to know God can be a process and not a one time event. We encourage you to ask questions along your journey. Even though you might not believe in God, we have come to know that He believes in you ... and loves you very deeply!

#7. Is this a Christian church ... or something else?

We are absolutely Christian and hold all of the traditional Christian beliefs. We may just present God’s principles in a contemporary non-traditional style.

#6. How can I know God myself?

We encourage you to read through Who Is Jesus. If you are ready to cross the line of faith and make a decision for Christ click here.

#5. How big is Spirit Life Church?

On a typical Sunday morning we have about 150 people. We are large enough that you won't stick out. Yet we are small enough for you to make lasting friendships.

#4. How do I get involved at Spirit Life?

Getting involved is a simple as asking one of the pastors or leaders. There are numerous areas of involvement for even new attenders. In fact, serving with others is one of the best ways to meet new people and build friendships.

#3. How do we get to Spirit Life?

Click on the Contact link at the top of the page for directions.

#2. Can we schedule our wedding at Spirit Life?

We have very little free time when the Sanctuary is clean and free. Therefore, we only host weddings for congregation members and their families.
