Why We Do Some of the Things We Do

There is no “perfect” way for Christian congregations to do things. Over the years here at Byron United,

Ministry Vacancy

Our Associate Pastor, Chris Beaumont, retired at the end of July, 2017. We have received Presbytery permission to hire a half-time Minister, effective August 1, 2017 (or later). The position description and related documents are posted on the website of London Conference,

All applicants must apply to London Conference for determination of eligibility to apply for this position. Instructions for applying are included on the London Conference website.

Syrian Families

Byron United Church has sponsored five Syrian refugee families (9 adults + 16 children/youth) to come to London. Most of these Syrians are Christians who worship with us regularly. As their English continues to improve, we are blessed by their love and fellowship!

We are currently trying to sponsor a 6th family (relatives of one of our other families), but the process has slowed down significantly in recent months. Please keep these families and all displaced people in your prayers.
