Diane Johnstone

(Actor/Producer/Comedian & Ordained Minister)

Diane L. Johnstone, a passionate follower of Jesus who is a producer, actor and comedian love to influence others to encounter the hope and grace found in Jesus. She brings a message to youth of how to use your story and your life (highs and lows) to speak of God's redemptive work.

She is described by Michael “Pinball” Clemons as " Brilliant! Alas thought provoking, but first funny and wonderfully witty, effortlessly evoking both empathy and inspiration. This is not ONE woman, it's one AMAZING woman."

Diane was born and raised in Fairfield County, Connecticut. More than 20 years ago, she migrated to Toronto, Ontario Canada, after a divorce. She has since remarried and is a dual-citizen. She is the well-pleased mother of a very creative daughter, who earned a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts from OCAD University and a second degree at Miami-Dade College, in Florida.

Diane, herself, has a love for the arts, as an Actor/Writer/Comedian/Producer. Her husband, Bruce, of 17 years, is very supportive of her career. More importantly, Diane credits her success to God. From an early age her father taught her the Lord’s and took the family to church. However, after her parent’s marriage failed, she tried to disguise the pain through drugs and partying.

But she always remained prayer minded, she prayed her way out. Diane got back on track, obtained a Bachelor’s of Theology Degree and became an Ordained Minister. Although, not preaching from a pulpit, Diane enjoys encouraging people through the word of God and the arts.

Diane’s fourth one-woman show, which she wrote and performed, “Desperate Church Wives”, garnered a Canadian Comedy Award nomination, for Best One Person Show!  She has been interviewed on 100 Huntley Street and Global Morning Show.
