Day 21- It's fun when you have soul winning on your mind everyday. The opportunities are limitless! Recently I went with the singles to the bowling alley. Man they smoke like a mug in those places and when I was on my way to the bathroom I noticed some underage folks tokin' it up! Now some of the nicest people I know smoke, I just can't deal with the smell. As an athlete it's repulsive to me. So, when I think about these middle schoolers smokin and kickin around at the bowling alley I remeber back to my younger days! I've been there and I know they just needed a friend. So I stopped and began to introduce myself to them. I know it freaks them out that an adult who is not the police or someone else tryin' to give them a hard time talking to them is an oddity.

When I finished they recognized me from the Breakfast Clubs that I do in their schools. It so opened the door for the Lord to move. And right there outside the bathrooms at the Bolwling allley several kids gave their hearts to Jesus. It made such an impact on them that when they got back to school they told Erica my daughter how cool they thought her dad was. Props to Jesus!

I hope that in telling you these stories you realize I neither intend to condemn you or make you feel less of a Christian if you haven't been as active in soul winning. It's mostly to leave something behind for others to discover like her what I did with the oxygen I took in while on this earth for the short span I was here. And hopefully some of you will respond and go higher than I!

Say this today," Lord we are but a vapor and then we are gone. Help me to please You with my faith for souls."

Scripture for today, John 3:16, " For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

 Day 22-It's time to go ahead now. We've been discussing soul winning for twenty two days now. Has your confidence grown? Do you see your rights and privelages too? you have what it takes to do it. All the annoiting that you need is inside you to accomplish this task. Jesus said if I be lifted up I will draw all men unto me. Lift Him up with your words. Exalt him with your actions. Meditate on His goodness to you. Let His words flow out of your spirit. Today is short and swet so that right now you can get up and get after it. Right now pick up the phone and call that person, write that friend, do what ever you can to set things in motion for your first or your next soul won to the Lord! GO now in the power of the Spirit of God. Don't say anything to day or read any scripture yet just go make this your soul day!!! In Jesus Name AMen!

Day23- Finally it's broken. I fyou did what I told you to do on Day 22 then you now have a new convert. Or you will soon. Stay out there working your plan with the Lord. Each person that is supposed to will come to you. You are now a soul winner. I see it inside of you by faith! Now that you have someone on your hit list let's focus on the next step after they have become born again. Lead them to the place where they cam be water baptised. Show them in the scriptures where the Lord commanded them to follow Him in water baptism. Let's go there now. 13Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.

 14But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?

 15And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

 16And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

 17And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Those who struggle with their walk after becoming a Christian might never have gotten wayer baptised. There might have been a time when they got baptised as a kid but it didn't take so  to speak. Let's endeavor now to get them baptised. It will help!

 

Day 24-Watch out now! Jesus could sneak up on you any minute with a soul for you to witness to! It's not faith if it's not now! Recently I read where there are 6.5 billion people on earth right now. 4 billion of them are in Asia. Why are we so content to hang around so nonchalantly? Let's get movin' for God. You can send an offering there, or bibles, or just pray for them! What if there was an oriental living near you right now who was the next world changing evangelist to the Bamboo curtain and you didn't witness to them now! They might go back over there and shake it up. All you need to start that ball rolling is a little gumption! That's southern for guts, gusto, or boldness!
I have a friend who is oriental. For years I poured into him anything I could. Spiritual toughness. Softness towards those less fortunate. Knowing the Word. how much of it took I don't know exactly, but the point is he's gone! The Bamboo curtain is the last place I heard about from him. Just be open and see what the Lord has.
 

 

Day25-We were at the trash dump in Ciudad de Victoria Mexico. People lived there. It is not like anything you have ever seen. It stretches for some distance both upward and sidewards. Pup tents line the base and smiles are on the faces of those grateful for anything new that day. We as a church-RCI from Knoxville gave them supplies. We gave them smiles too and hugs. We gave our time. At the end I was asked to share my testimony with them. I have been homeless for days. Not like them though. I have been near insanity. Not to the extent that they must feel. I have been hungry and dirty and thirsty and hurt and rejected. Not like them though. But what I did get across to them was that the same Savior that held onto me during all those times is the same Savior they could hold onto for life, and if they would persist He would lead them out of this trash dump. Just like He lead me out my own. Tell them Jesus loves them! They will hear you.

 

Day 26- Why is it wrong to say you spoke to ten thousand people at one time about the most important person who ever lived? Well, it's not and one night not to long ago I shared my faith with the halftime crowd of a Spirit Express vs Tennessee- Martin basketball crowd. When I leave this earth and think on the life I've lived it will be well worth remembering those faces that night. I told them how God had spared me from so many of the evils that plagued the ones I loved. The alcoholism never hit me, the insanity never took hold, the drugs, the pills these things never got a foot hold. God did. I told them my story because I want them to know there is a God who cares! He died for each and everyone of them. They stood and gave an ovation. I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I encourage you to use whatever you have to spread His name.
