Proverbs 3:5-6 is a very familiar scripture.  “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.  But in all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.”

I like how this passage reads in the Message bible, “Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own.  Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track.”

It is amazing when I reflect on my journey with the Lord.  Having accepted Jesus as my savior when I was nine years old, I have always felt a calling to serve Him through ministry.

Growing up in Lebanon, I have come to love this little section of God’s creation.  After graduating high school, I enlisted in the U.S. Navy.  I served aboard the USSBN George Bancroft, a ballistic missile submarine based in Charleston, South Carolina.  Upon my discharge, I came home to Lebanon and was employed at the Lebanon VA Medical Center.  After ten years of serving our veterans, the Lord directed me to Lebanon County Christian Ministries in 2004, for which I have the privilege to serve as its executive director.

The Lord has blessed me with a wonderful opportunity to serve Him by serving a community I love.  In addition to my role with LCCM, I have served on a number of boards and committees including the Lebanon County Council of Human Service Agencies (past president & vice president); Lebanon County Coalition to End Homelessness (current vice president); Leadership Lebanon Valley Board of Trustees (current chair and past vice chair); Lebanon County Disaster Recovery Group (past chair); Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce Non-Profit Round Table (past chair & past vice chair); Developmental & Disability Services of Lebanon Valley board member; and head coach for the varsity boys basketball team of New Covenant Christian School.  I am a 2004 graduate of Leadership Lebanon Valley.  I am also a member of the Rotary Club of Lebanon where I serve on the board as the New Generations Chair.

I am a member of Faith Fellowship Church in Cleona.  I have been truly blessed with this church family.  God has used me in a number of ways to serve the church; deacon, praise team, Sunday school teacher, youth leader, sound/a.v. technician, kitchen crew, and assistant camp director.  God has blessed me with a wonderful wife, Deb.  She truly knows and understands me and is my completer.  We have five beautiful children; Morgan, Caleb, Brigitte, Celina, and Jared.
