Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." -John 14:6
Friend, I am so thankful that you were led to this website and to this page. We may never meet in this life, but I am convinced that if you come to know God in a real and personal way through His Son, we will most certainly meet in the next life.
First, may I say that it is an incredible honor to share with you the greatest Message ever given. Let me reassure you that what you are about to read is not something that some religious organization devised. I realize that my opinion is no better than others and on a subject this serious I dare not share my own ideas. I can only describe what the Holy Scriptures, the Bible, reveal.
All Scripture is inspired by God…[i]
God made the Message so simple that a child could understand it, yet it is so profound that all of the theologians of the ages could not plumb its depths. I will briefly share it with you, but please open the pages of Scripture yourself and you will find God will reveal Himself to you.
You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. [ii]
The Message is one of life; both now and hereafter.
They are not just idle words for you—
they are your life.[iii]
You've heard it said, "There's more to life than meets the eye" and that is true. The life we now live in this world is brief and only a prelude to eternal life.
What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. [iv]
God's word tells us that in the beginning, mankind enjoyed both physical and spiritual life because they had a real and personal relationship with God.
God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.[v]
When man chose to go his own way instead of God's way, he forfeited his relationship with God as well as real lasting life. God had warned man that the day he disobeyed Him he would die.
You must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it
you will surely die.”[vi]
If you know the story, you may say, "Mark, Adam and Eve didn't die. They were just put out of the Garden of Eden."
Yes, man died as a result of his disobedience. You see, he died spiritually immediately and he died physically eventually. All of this because he was separated from God Who is the Author of life.
Death was alien to creation until man chose to disobey God or sin.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. [vii]
Had man not chosen to disobey God he would have continued to live in an intimate relationship with his Creator forever.
But beginning with the first man all of us have sinned. As someone described it, "this began a pattern that has continued throughout history." Every one of us inherited this tendency to disobey God and choose our own way. We are not only born with this corruption of our nature, we freely choose to disobey God.
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God[viii]
Beginning with the first man sin began and it’s destruction spread to all.
Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned[ix]
We all know people who are “good” – relatively speaking. But “perfect” people? There are none!
There is certainly no righteous man on the earth
who does good and never sins.[x]
I have only met a couple of people in my life who said they had never sinned. It was clear that they were either lying or self-deceived.
If we say, “We have no sin,” we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us.[xi]
But God made a way for our relationship with Him to be restored. He loved us so much that He was unwilling to let us go. God, Who is almighty, holy, and all-knowing loves us so much!
For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.[xii]
Jesus Christ, God the Son, lived without disobeying the Father and never sinned.
“Who among you can convict Me of sin? – Jesus
He did not commit sin,
and no deceit was found in His mouth[xiii]
He willingly died as a sacrifice for our sin. He took our sin upon Himself.
He made the One who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. [xiv]
He paid the price so that all of our sin would be covered and God’s wrath would be turned away from us.
He not only died - He rose. He rose from the dead so that not only are we able to be forgiven we are given His life and we too shall rise.
He died for us so that…we may
live together with Him.[xv]
“I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me will live, even though he dies;and whoever lives and believes in Me will never die.[xvi]
When our sin is covered our relationship with God is restored and we are given eternal life. But not only are we promised eternal life with God in Heaven, Jesus makes it possible for us to have a full and meaningful life right now. Jesus not only gives us life - He makes life worth living.
"I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." -Jesus (John 10:10b)
If you now realize you need to be forgiven and you want to have a real and personal relationship with God all you need do is turn from your own way of living and sincerely pray to God and ask Him to forgive you. As you admit to Him that you need Him and can't live without Him, He will give you His life.
You may naturally feel unworthy, but we all are.
You may feel you have to do something to earn His love and forgiveness, but He's done it all for you.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. [xvii]
If we could have a relationship with God by being religious or doing good deeds Christ would not have had to die to pay for our sin.
I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!”[xviii]
Know that no one is justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ. [xix]
Church membership, baptism, good deeds...or whatever you can think of cannot earn His love or pay for our disobedience.
He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy[xx]
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. [xxi]
But by simply and sincerely surrendering your life to Him, He gives you His life - real life! He comes to live within you and enables you to live the life you were born to live. You may now enjoy the real and personal relationship with God that had been lost.
Repent and turn to God, and do works worthy of repentance[xxii]
I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all
perish as well!” [xxiii]
That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. 11 As the Scripture says, “Anyone who trusts in Him
will never be put to shame.[xxiv]
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord
will be saved.”[xxv]
Once Christ is your Savior and the Master of your life you have His presence to guide you.
I will never leave you or forsake you.
Day by day you come to know Him better by praying to Him and reading His word.
Once we know God in a real and personal way He gives us His life - eternal life! When we are "born again" (John 3:1-16) our lives really begin.
Oh, there is so much more I would like to share with you about the genuine joy that comes from knowing Christ. But above all, let me encourage you to seek Him with all of your heart and trust Him to forgive, save, and give you real life.
If you have any questions, please feel free to send a message. If you have received Christ as your Lord and Savior I would love to hear about it. You can imagine how thrilled I will be to hear what God has done in your life. I would be delighted to share some things with you that will help you grow strong as you seek to follow Jesus the rest of your life.
Jesus is Wonderful. You are loved.
