Haydn has been in the Lord's service for many years, the Lord first called him when he was an officer in the British Army and serving in Germany. Once he had given his life to Christ, the Lord called him into ordained ministry. He retired from the Army in 1980 after 13 years service.
Haydn completed his seminary training for ordination at St. John's Theological College in Nottingham, England. Then it was off to Canada's far north where he served for 22 years. During his ministry in the Diocese of The Arctic, Haydn served in Kugluktuk (Coppermine), Uluhaktuk (Holman Island) and Hay River. He was the Rector of St. Andrews Anglican Church, Hay River from 1988, and Archdeacon of the Diocese of the Arctic from 1994, until his move to St. Luke's in April 2006. During His ministry in Hay River Haydn took time out to complete a Master's Degree in Biblical Counselling at Briercrest Biblical seminary in Saskatchewan.
He is now bringing his gifts and talents to St. Luke's. Haydn shares our commitment to God's word and work, our strong belief to missions, evangelism and ministering to our community. We are looking forward to growing and moving together, as the Lord calls and directs.
Haydn is married to Norma and they have two children; Rosie and Paul and two grandchildren, Nyla and Leah.
Haydn retired on Oct 31 2012. We wish him all the best.
