Wednesday Prayer

On the months that have 5 Wednesdays, the vestry leads a time of prayer at St. Luke's, at 7:00 pm. This time is dedicated to praying over the body of St. Luke's. All are welcome to attend.

Friday Prayer

At St. Luke’s we believe that prayer is an integral part of our lives as a fellowship and in relationship with God.

Presently, our aim is to have the church open on Fridays between 12 and 1pm for prayer.

We want to make available three places for you to pray:

If you wish to pray alone or just relax in the presence of God please use the Sanctuary.
If you wish to join with others to pray for our city, country, the church and other topics please use the Fellowship Lounge.
If you wish to have someone pray with you specifically please speak with one of the greeters.

You are not confined to one particular group, please feel free to move from group to group, but do so quietly and respectfully so as not to disturb others.

Prayer After the Service

At the conclusion of the service, prayer is offered at the front of the church for anyone who desires it. If someone is already up there, just go and sit down at the front pew and wait, someone will get to you as soon as they are finished.

If you have it on your heart to participate in this ministry, speak to Rev. Haydn.

C.P.R. Ministry (Call, Persevere, Respond)

How does it work? If you have an emergency prayer request, call up the first person on the list and give them the details. When you are done, you hang up, and that person then calls the next person on the list and passes on the details. When your phoning is done take time to pray over the situation. This continues in a chain-like fashion until all members on the list have prayed over the situation.
