God’s Word contains incredible wisdom in the area of finances. The Bible contains over 2,000 references, including 16 parables, that apply to money and material things. Unfortunately, except for tithing, most Christians are unaware of what God’s Word says on finances, and as a result they inadvertently violate God’s financial principles and suffer the consequences. For example, most people are not aware of God’s warning of the dangers of debt (Proverbs 22:7) and once they get into debt, they do not know how to get out of debt.

The purpose of this book is to provide an understanding of God’s wisdom in the area of finances. Each session begins with an explanation of the key biblical principles for that session, supported by Scripture, followed by several case studies. All case studies are based on real-life situations. As a result, participants can obtain biblically-based financial advice from the case studies and the input of other participants in the group without disclosing personal financial information.

Ideally, this book is intended as a small-group study. However, an individual or couple can work through the study independently and still obtain a significant benefits. There is a participant’s workbook and a leader’s guide, which are essentially the same except that the leader’s guide provides suggested solutions and instructions to the leaders.
