Youth Ministry

A vision for our Youth Ministry:

We seek to be a community of young people committed to follow Jesus, to love and serve our neighbors and to be fully integrated in the life and worship of our church. As we are growing into adulthood, we also envision becoming faithful Christians who understand, practice and share their faith.”

We aim to live out our vision by:

  • Studying Scripture and learning about our faith
  • Studying the life and message of Jesus
  • Serving in our church and community
  • Participating actively in the Sunday worship service
  • Building friendships and relationships among us and our church

Friday night 7.00 pm

The main purpose of our meetings is to learn about Jesus and have fun through a variety of games and activities. Additionally, 2 Fridays a month we study the book “The Jesus Creed,” which basically explores the heart of what it means to follow Jesus: Loving God and loving others. Once of twice a month we will go out for a fun activity such as, swimming, laser tag etc.

You can check our activities in our Facebook page here.

Serving:

We are coordinating for at least once every two months to serve our community in a simple way such as giving a way coffee and sandwiches to the homeless people in downtown Vancouver or serving our neighbors in North Vancouver.

Breakfast Club: (Grades 8-12)

Do you have questions about faith? About the Bible? We invite you then to Breakfast Club. The second and the fourth Sunday of the month we have breakfast together and along with a conversation about God, life and faith (09:15 am). For example, this year we will discuss topics such as Social Media, Vocation and learning how to have a conversation with people of other faiths. Additionally we will have series entitled “God’s Big Picture,” in which Daniel will teach the main story of the Bible.

Girls Bible Study:

They meet every Wednesday from 7.00 to 8.00 PM with the high school girls in order to study the Bible, share life experiences and have fun. (Girls group will resume their activities in September 2017)
