Know Jesus

“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” – Romans 10:9

It is normal for people growing in their Christian faith to reach a point where they surrender their lives to Jesus, accepting Him as their Saviour and Lord. It is normal for Christians to confess their sins and turn away from sinful behaviours and attitudes. It is normal for Christians to periodically recommit themselves to Jesus, renewing their faith in Him. If you would like to surrender your life or recommit yourself to Jesus, we offer the following prayer.

A PRAYER

Father God, I believe your son Jesus Christ died for my sins and the sins of the world.
I confess my brokenness.
I confess my sins and turn away from them.

Jesus, I believe you rose from the dead.
I give my life to you, Jesus.
I hold nothing back.
I accept you as my Lord and my Saviour.

Thank you for loving me.
Thank you for dying for me.
I open my heart and my life to you, Lord Jesus.
Thank you for washing away all my sins.
Thank you for giving me new life as a child of God.

Lord Jesus, teach me and help me to grow.
Fill me with your Holy Spirit.
Remove anything in me that is holding me back.
Renew my thinking, renew my feelings, renew my relationships.
Surround me with a church family of sisters and brothers that support me.
Show me how you want me to love and serve others.

Thank you, Father God,
Thank you, Jesus.
I love you! - Amen!

If you prayed this prayer with sincerity – you are born again, a child of God. Rejoice in your amazing Saviour. He loves and forgives you. You are his forever. Continue to grow in your walk with the Lord. Pray, read the Bible (maybe start with John’s Gospel), attend church and connect with your sisters and brothers. Listen for the Lord directing your plans and showing you how to love and serve others. If you’d like to talk with Pastor Greg or Pastor Chris, phone the church: 519-471-1250.
