Max is the husband of his wife, Judy, for 39 years, and the father of 4 girls, with 8 grandchildren - 5 boys and 3 girls.

He is the founder of East Carolina School of Ministry, was a facilitator and instructor with Jacksonville Theological Seminary (JTS) in Jacksonville, Florida for 7 years and now the President of Covenant Theological Seminary. Additionally, he is also a representative for Southern Bible Institute and Seminary (SBIS) in Augusta, Georgia and a licensed Regional Center Director for International School of Ministry for the countries of Cuba and Panama.

He is also the pastor of Radiant Life Foursquare Church in Greenville and superintendent of the North Carolina Coastal Division of Foursquare Churches.
