Vision of Prodigal Restoration Ministries, Inc.

We believe we are living in a time where there are countless numbers who have never had a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ or they once did but have fallen away. We believe God is calling His prodigal children home. The fields are surely ripe for the end time harvest.

We believe God’s plan is that every person is comissioned by God to complete His purpose for the earth. Therefore, it is our heart to help all peoples discover their place in the body of Christ. And then to encourage them to actively pursue developing God’s perfect plan for their life, now!

Our hope is to accomplish this vision by providing a platform for this mighty army to have hands on experience through various ministry opportunities guided by the Holy Spirit of God, the teaching of the Word of God, much prayer, and much godly counsel.

The vision of this ministry is to break down denomination, cultural, economic, and educational walls that have hindered the body of Christ from uniting. We believe there is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, and through all, and in you all (Eph 4:4-6). It is time to be about the Father’s business. Therefore, our primary focus is and will always be on the lost souls of this world. To help them discover their God ordained purpose, gifts, and abilities.

Since this is a learning/training center, our goal is not to just pan for a few flakes or a nugget every now and then, but to dig out the rich treasury of God’s word so that we may understand what He has said to us and understand how to apply it to our lives for the purpose of obtaining the results that He promised.

We see people not as they are, but as they can be: Mighty, Valiant Warriors for the Kingdom of God - pursuing the Word and will of God with passion to obtain the promises. Therefore, at Spirit of Hope we endeavor to properly equip, supernaturally empower, unashamedly effect and supportively encourage every beleiver for the glory of our God! Our plan is to simply follow the pattern in His Word and expect the same results.

T E N E T S   O F   F A I T H

1.   We believe that the Bible, Old and New Testament, is the inspired and infallible Word of God, that the Bible is the inerrant Scripture, and the revealed will of God (2 Tim 3:16;  2 Pet 1:21; Heb. 4:12).

2.   We believe that God is eternally existent in three separate persons comprised of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  All are one representing the Holy Trinity (Matt 28:19; 1 Jn 5:7).  Jesus Christ, God made manifest in the flesh, is the second member of  the Godhead and the only  begotten Son of God (Is 9:6; Jn 1:1,12; Lk 3:21,22). Godhead (the word) is found in Romans 1:20.

3.   We believe that mankind was created in God’s Image and God is the Creator of all things.  By an act of mankind’s own will, mankind fell in sin and their only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God (Gen 1:26-31; Ex 1:26; Rom 8:29).

4.   We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, that He was born of a virgin by Immaculate conception of the Holy Spirit.  That He lived a sinless life, provided for atonement of our sins by His death on the cross, was resurrected after three days, ascended back to the right hand of God the Father, and ever lives to make intercession for us. (Luke 1:27; Heb 4:15; Rom 3:25; 8:3,11,34).

5.   Salvation of Man:

                 A)  Man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.  When Jesus died on the cross, He became sin and sickness for us, providing salvation and healing for all (Ps 103:3). Salvation comes by believing in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, and by confessing with your mouth Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life (Rom 3:23,24; 5:20,21; 6:23; 10:8-10; Eph 2:8;1 Pet 2:24).

               B)  The inward evidence to a believer is the personal witness of the Spirit (Rom 8:16; Gal 4:6; 1 Jn 3:24).  The outward evidence to all men is a changed life of true holiness and love.  Although no one except Jesus is perfect and sinless, an outward showing of a changed lifestyle must take place, representing a true conversion of heart and life (Mk 16:17,18; Jn 13:35).

               C)  Salvation comes by faith in Jesus Christ and not by human works; however, our works are proof of our faith and determine our rewards in heaven (Rom 10:9,10; 2 Cor 5:10; Eph 2:8,9; Titus 3:5-8; Jam 2:18).

6.   Sanctification/Holiness. Sanctification/Holiness is an act of separating from evil and coming into a relationship with God in order to do His will (Rom 12:2,12; 1 Thess 5:23; Jn 17:17; Eph 5:26; 2 Tim 2:21).  The Bible teaches that without holiness, no one will see the Lord (Heb 12:24).  By the power of Holy Spirit, the command of holiness can be obeyed (1 Pet 1:15,16; Heb 12:9; 13:21; Phil 2:13). Through sanctification, man realizes that Jesus died for his sins so he may have life everlasting, and by  daily allowing the Holy Spirit to complete the work that God began until the day of the return (Phil 1:6).

7.   Baptism in water is astatement to the world that a believer has died to (or put away) the old, sinful ways of life, and that they have been raised (to a new way of life) with Christ to walk in newness through Him (Matt 28:19; Acts 10:47,48; Rom 6:4).

8.   We believe in the celebration of the Lord’s Supper bycorporately eating the bread and drinking of the cup is a symbolism and remembrance of Jesus Christ and what He has done for us (1 Cor 11:24-30).

9.   Laying on of hands is believing that the power or anointing or any other necessary quality can be transmitted from one person touching another. The Levitical Priesthood practiced laying on of hands. Jesus practiced it in Mark 10:13-16 as a blessing. And the laying on of hands is our grounds for baby dedication instead of baptism. You will also find in scripture,  laying on hands for healing (Mark 5:22,23,28; 8:23-25; Lk 4:40 Acts19:11-12; 28:8), laying on of hands to confer office (Acts 6:2-6), laying on of hands to receive the Holy Ghost (Acts 8:16-18), laying on of hands to believe words spoken, to receive anointing, and to cultivate the anointing (I Tim 4:14). And you will find in scripture, laying on of hands is used for ordination to consecrate and receive the necessary ministry tools (I Tim 4:14)

10.   Divine healing is for physical ills of the human body and is wrought by the power of God through the prayer of faith, and by laying on of hands. It is provided for in the atonement of Christ, and it is the privilege of every member of the church today (Is 53:4-5; Matt 8:17; Mark 16:18; Jam 5:14-20; 1 Peter 2:22).

11.   We believe that the Baptism of Holy Spirit is available to all believers and they should eagerly expect and diligently seek the Promise of the Father, according to the command of Jesus Christ.  This includes the infilling power for life and service, and the granting of gifts and their uses in the way of the ministry.  This experience is different from, and in addition to the experience of the new birth (Lk 24:49; Acts 1:2-8; 2:38,39; 8:16; 10:44-46; 15:7-9; 19:1-7; 1 Cor 12:1-31).

12.  We believe that the evidence of Baptism of Holy Spirit, according to scripture, is an uncompromising love for your fellow man, boldness to witness to others concerning the testimony of Christ, an earnest desire for Christian service, as well as speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (Acts 1:8; 2:4; 10:44; 19:2-6).

13.   We believe in the gifts of Holy Spirit mentioned in 1 Cor 12:1-11 as being available to all believers and are valid and active in the church today with an emphasis of being exercised within Scriptural guidelines.  We as believers are to desire the best gifts, seeking to exercise them in love whereby the whole Body of Christ would be edified.

14.   We believe that each believer is a contributing part of the Body of Christ. Every member of the family of God does their share and everyone has something to offer to others.  All are important in God’s eyes and all work together to establish His kingdom in the earth (Rom 12:3-8; 1 Cor 12:14-27; Eph 4:16).

15.   We believe that  faithful stewardship through tithes and offerings is a Biblical principle God designed as a means so that we may acknowledge all belongs to Him and He is first in our lives. In obedience to Scripture, we believe that through our individual stewardship of willfully and cheerfully giving of tithes and offerings, positions each of us to receive the supernatural abundance that God desires for all believer’s to receive (Deut 14:23; Mal 3:8-12; Matt 23:23; Luke 16:11; 11 Cor 9:6-10; 16:2; Rom 14:12).

16.   We believe the local church has the right to govern itself under the Lordship of Jesus Christ and where it deems best for the life of the church and ministry, and the testimony of the Lord, the appropriate church leadership may discipline in the spirit of love, any member who departs from the principles set forth in the articles or whose conduct is contrary to the spirit and practices of this ministry (Eph 1:22; Phil 2:1-5; Rom 16:17; 11 Thes 3:6-15; Heb 13:17; I Peter 5:1-5).

17.   We believe in the blessed Hope: That Jesus is coming back again in person to gather all His saints to Himself to rule on the earth and will be visible to all, and that there will be a new heaven and a new earth. This motivates us to heartfelt worship, committed service, diligent study of God’s Word, and regular fellowship with other Christians, (1 Cor 15:51,52; 1 Thess 4:16,17; 2 Thess 2:1; 2 Peter 3:13; Rev. 21:1).

18.   We believe according to scripture that those who do not accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior with the evidence of the fruit of repentance will suffer eternal judgment, separation from the Godhead, and will burn in the lake of fire for eternity (Rev 19:20; 20:10-15).
