Prophetic words for Arusha Vineyard
March 06, 2013

March 1-3rd we hosted key Vineyard leaders from around Africa. During one of the meetings held at the church, a number of words of encouragement were given, two of which are as follows:

Bubba Justice (Alabama, USA)

Acts 11:19-30 (ESV)
19 Now those who were scattered because of the persecution that arose over Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia and Cyprus and Antioch, speaking the word to no one except Jews.
20 But there were some of them, men of Cyprus and Cyrene, who on coming to Antioch spoke to the Hellenists also, preaching the Lord Jesus.
21 And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number who believed turned to the Lord.

THE LORD WANTS THE ARUSHA VINEYARD TO HAVE AN EVANGELISTIC EDGE. TO PREACH THE GOOD NEWS TO EVERY TYPE OF PERSON
22 The report of this came to the ears of the church in Jerusalem, and they sent Barnabas to Antioch.
23 When he came and saw the grace of God, he was glad, and he exhorted them all to remain faithful to the Lord with steadfast purpose,
24 for he was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and of faith. And a great many people were added to the Lord.

GOD WILL SEND MEN AND WOMEN WHO ARE LIKE BARNABAS. THEY ARE FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT AND THEY WILL EXHORT THE CHURCH AND BUILD UP THE CHURCH
25 So Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul,

YOU ARE LOOK FOR SAULS AND BARNABASES WHO WILL COME IN AND THEN BE SENT OUT. YOU ARE LIKE A RIVER - PEOPLE WILL COME THROUGH AND THEN GO OUT. YOU ARE TO BLESS THAT.
26 and when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. For a whole year they met with the church and taught a great many people. And in Antioch the disciples were first called Christians.

GOD WILL HAVE A PROFOUND WORK IN ARUSHA. YOUR LIVES WILL REFLECT THE CHARACTER OF CHRIST
27 Now in these days prophets came down from Jerusalem to Antioch.
28 And one of them named Agabus stood up and foretold by the Spirit that there would be a great famine over all the world (this took place in the days of Claudius).

GOD WANTS TO STIR UP THE GIFT OF PROPHECY. THE CHURCH IS TO STIR UP AND NURTURE THE PROPHECY. TRAIN IN IT TEACH IT CORRECT IT
29 So the disciples determined, every one according to his ability, to send relief to the brothers living in Judea.
30 And they did so, sending it to the elders by the hand of Barnabas and Saul.

GOD WANTS TO ESTABLISH THE ARUSHA CHURCH AS A GENEROUS CHURCH. YOU WILL HEAR OF A NEED AND GIVE TO MEET THAT NEED.

Larry Levy (Nova Scotia, Canada)

When I was walking up to the building across the grounds I heard the word 'festival'. God wants to bring an explosion of worship and the arts. I sense you will be having festivals that celebrate the goodness and mercy of God. The festivals are for your community and the surrounding communities. Tonight God wants to touch all those who are involved in any way with music and the visual arts. I saw this painting on the wall and it seemed to reinforce this sense of drawing together the music and the visual arts. This seemed to be a key doorway for people to find and experience God. We invite all those who are involved with worship, song writing, painting, water colours, sculpting, handiwork, even if you have just begun....to come and we will pray the Holy Spirit on you. Come, Holy Spirit...    (And He did...)

Editors comment - Unbeknowns to Larry, the painting was done during “Vineyard Festival” two years ago, when we invited all the ministries and missions represented by members of our congregation, to share their work and vision with us as a church. Niki Lodhia painted as she listened to people sharing.
