How does one go about describing one's faith? It's an ever evolving, growing, maturing, thing deep inside of me that defines who I am, motivates my priorities, desires, beliefs, and actions. It's something that I'm always refining, as God molds me ever more into his image. Some days bring doubts, fears, clouds, and I remind myself that I am but a vapor, seeing dimly into a looking glass darkly, yet one day I shall see him face to face. And I press on toward that hope, that calling, that pushes me on to what I know he wants me to be, to become, to do, for him and for his eternal glory. I lay aside all the things that drag me down, that weigh me down, that threaten to overwhelm me, and run on with perseverance the race, in hopes and aim to win the prize, to hear the words, "Well done thou good and faithful servant."

This is an awesome quote from John Piper.

"God is pursuing with omnipotent passion a worldwide purpose of gathering joyful worshipers for Himself from every tribe and tongue and people and nation. He has an inexhaustible enthusiasm for the supremacy of His name among the nations. Therefore, let us bring our affections into line with His, and, for the sake of His name, let us renounce the quest for worldly comforts and join His global purpose." John Piper

This is my heartfelt cry--to become a joyful worshiper, to exalt His name among the nations, to bring my affections into alignment with His, and to renounce worldly comforts and join His global purpose.
